About this Event
Woodcarving has been a vibrant folk art in Scandinavia for over a thousand years. Scandinavian woodcarving styles vary from karveskurd (chip carving) and flatskurd (low relief) to elaborate acanthus (leaf groupings).
Learn how to carve in Scandinavian styles through an understanding of wood, tool techniques, sharpening and honing, and more.
The class meets Sundays at the Swedish Club in Seattle. This is an ongoing class series so you can continue your practice at your leisure.
