About this Event
In celebration of Women’s History Month, join instructor Teresa Miller for a once-per-season Scandinavian Embroidery Workshop that honors the enduring craft traditions shaped and sustained by women.
Inspired by The Scandinavian Home exhibition, participants will design and stitch a personal bird and floral motif, then mount their finished embroidery on a sliding-lid wooden box. Rooted in history yet open to individual expression, this workshop offers a thoughtful connection to the domestic arts that carried cultural knowledge across generations.
Designed as an immersive daytime experience, this workshop is ideal for creatives, lifelong learners, educators, and professionals seeking a meaningful pause from the everyday—an opportunity to slow down, focus deeply, and engage with art in a museum setting.
