The Fairy Lights are songwriter, vocalist and ukelele player Casey Thomson and fiddle / Cello player/ singer Emma Luker . The duo play a quirky brand of folk, with songs about life, fairytales and the Apocalypse.
BREADTAG (Edison Love)
Edison Love (Aka Breadtag) is a 13 year old singer/songwriter who has played on various stages across the Adelaide Hills. He made his debut at the Roar Talent battle of the bands in the Adelaide Hills in 2023, which he went on to win the junior category of. This unexpected achievement further ignited his passion for original music, and he has since been focussing on developing his song writing. He writes pop music with a hint of alternative rock and plays various instruments on stage including: ukulele, keyboard, cajon, electric and acoustic guitar and often loops with his homemade looping pedal. His lyrics are heartfelt and funny, and he likes to write about everyday things from his own unique perspective. He is an entertainer at heart and likes to bring a fresh, quirky and youthful vibe to the stage.
JACK CRUZ
Jack Cruz is an 18 year old up and coming singer-songwriter, residing in the Adelaide hills. Influenced by the works of various pop and alternative artists such as Coldplay, Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran, Jack centres around the pop and folk genre, creating introspective yet catchy melodies for the world to enjoy.
MIA SANDER
Since she could remember, Mia Sander has performed and sang anything she could get her hands on. She first began playing piano at the age of five, quickly falling in love with the instrument, before learning guitar at twelve and never looking back. Her involvement with her high school's music program introduced her to the concept of songwriting for an outlet, and with piano and guitar at her disposal, she wrote her first song a week before her fourteenth birthday. Now, at nineteen with an arsenal of music at her disposal, Mia finds the craft of songwriting to be a form of communication unlike anything else; something unexplainable that allows her to articulate exactly how she thinks, feels, and sees the world. After entering her first SCALA competition and winning earlier this year, Mia is incredibly excited for the opportunity to perform a handful of her songs at SCALA's December showcase. She hopes you relate to a single sentence of a single song, or at least find the inner workings of a teenage girl's mind entertaining.
