About this Event
This practical and engaging two-hour session is designed specifically for construction employers who want to strengthen recruitment, improve retention, and unlock the full potential of a neurodiverse workforce.
Neurodiversity is already present across the construction sector. Many organisations, however, face unseen barriers within recruitment, induction, and day-to-day working practices. This course provides the space, tools, and confidence to identify those barriers and address them in a realistic and achievable way.
You will explore what neurodiversity means in the workplace and why it matters for productivity, safety, problem-solving, and staff retention. We will look closely at your own organisational processes and consider how small, practical adjustments can make a significant difference. The session covers the full employment journey, including:
- Job design and application processes
- Interviews and assessment methods
- Onboarding and early support
- Matching roles to individual strengths
- Ongoing support, progression, and retention
- Accessing free support and additional funding opportunities
You will take part in structured workshops throughout the session. These are designed to help you reflect on your current practice and produce a clear, tailored action plan for your organisation. By the end of the course, you will leave with practical steps you can implement immediately to support neurodiverse employees and candidates more effectively.
This course is informative, interactive, and solution-focused. It supports employers to move beyond awareness and towards confident, meaningful inclusion that works on site and in the office.
