This course provides an overview of modern tools and techniques for investigating waste storage facilities (e.g., tailings dams) considering laboratory and field scales. The course will discuss how the efficient characterization of waste storage facilities can be performed and also engage participants on the critical assessment of information obtained from field/laboratory investigations.
