South Carolina, clear your calendar, because the 1st Annual South Carolina Mac & Cheese Cook-Off is happening in Newberry on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Edward Kyzer Newberry Firehouse Conference Center, and we want folks coming in from all across the state. ��This is a full-on mac showdown. Up to 15 home chefs will bring their best plant based mac and cheese, the kind that makes you stop mid bite and go, ok, who made this?!?! � You get to sample, you get to vote for People’s Choice, and a panel of professional chefs will award Chef’s Choice, so it’s bragging rights on both sides. ��
And it’s not just mac. We’re bringing in vendors too, so you can snack, shop, and make an afternoon of it. �� Come hungry, come ready to cast your vote, and come ready for a room that feels like pure community. �
We’re proud to be partnering with Wild Pines Sanctuary for this event, because when sanctuaries team up, the animals get more of what they need, care, safety, and a real future. ��
