Now in its third year, the Safer Buildings Tech and Policy Summit is the premier event bringing together wireless industry leaders, public safety officials, policymakers, school safety advocates, and technology innovators for two days of keynotes, fireside chats, and panel discussions — all on a single stage.
The 2026 Summit tackles the most pressing issues at the intersection of in-building wireless connectivity, public safety communications, school safety technology, Next Generation 911, and workforce development. Whether you're an AHJ, system designer, legislator, association leader, or industry executive, this is where the conversations that shape policy and drive innovation happen.
Our 2026 Key Topics:
- In-Building Wireless Policy & Innovation — next-gen signal boosters, WiFi offload, spectrum discussions around 4.9 GHz, Sidelink, and the road to 6G
- Public Safety Perspectives — FirstNet reauthorization, situational awareness tools, and interoperability challenges
- School Safety Legislation — Alyssa's Law and Alyssa's Act, indoor mapping & location technology, threat detection, and cell phone policies in schools
- NG 911: The Path Forward — mapping, location accuracy, incident data integration, and barriers to full deployment
- Wireless Workforce Development — training and certification policy, DOL apprenticeship programs, and building the skilled wireless workforce pipeline
The Summit draws over 300 attendees representing federal and state regulators, public safety officials, first responders, school safety officials, wireless and broadband service providers, trade associations, engineers, consultants, systems integrators, and equipment manufacturers.
Two days of sessions plus networking receptions, breakfasts, and luncheons. We'll also leave plenty of time for enjoying DC.
