About this Event

With the recent Federal Budget proposing changes to negative gearing and capital gains tax, the investment strategies of many Australians are under scrutiny. What makes the most sense in today’s environment, investing in property or shares?

This breakfast brings together business owners, professionals, investors, and aspiring entrepreneurs for an engaging 3-vs-3 debate featuring respected experts from the property and finance industries.

Representing property:

  • Andrew Coronis (Chairman, The Coronis Group)
  • Shane Hicks (Partner and Lead Agent, Place Estate Agents)
  • Avi Khan (Group CEO, Ray White Daisy Hill, AKG, Brookwater, White Greater Springfield, and Marsden)

Representing shares:

  • David Lane (QLD State Manager and Senior Private Wealth Advisor, Ord Minnett)
  • Ken Howard (Private Client Advisor, Morgans)
  • Keeley Walsh (Associate Equity Analyst, Morgans)

The debate will be moderated by Associate Professor Dr Brett Freudenberg from Curtin University, a leading taxation academic and member of the Small Business Association of Australia Think Tank.

Guests will enjoy tea, coffee and juice on arrival, followed by a hot plated breakfast with shared fruit platter and Danish pastries, alongside ongoing refreshments throughout the morning.

Seats are strictly limited, so early booking is strongly recommended to secure your place.
