A company called Atmosphere Data Centers wants to build a 300-megawatt hyperscale data center at the old Dickerson coal plant site in Montgomery County. The company adamantly refuses to commit to running that data center on clean energy.
We need YOUR voice right now. Join us for a rally at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 13 in downtown Silver Spring to tell our County Council leaders: “Dirty data centers no! 100% clean power yes!” We’ll be gathering outside the Civic Building in Silver Spring at Veterans Plaza. All three candidates in the race for County Executive will be attending a town hall that day at noon, hosted by WAMU radio. So we want to show up outside and be visible with T-shirts and banners, then attend the noon town hall.
