Come and join us for some orienteering fun at Sawtell. Family groups, friends and beginners are all welcome. We will gladly explain the basics of orienteering to help you get started.NOTE: This is a MapRun event. MapRun is a free smartphone app that uses GPS to record your visit to controls marked on the map.
FORMAT: This is a "60 minute Score Event". There are 30 control sites marked on your map. Those numbered 1 - 10 are worth 10 points each. Those numbered 11 - 20 are worth 20 points each. Those numbered 21 - 30 are worth 30 points each. You may visit as many controls as you wish, in ANY ORDER.
The aim is to get the biggest score possible within the 60 minute time limit. However, be mindful of your time as penalty points are applied for a late return.
LOCATION: Richardson Park, Sawtell NSW
DATE: Saturday, 14th March 2026
TIME: Start anytime between 3pm - 4pm. Finish 5pm

Senior (21+): $12 (members $8)
Junior: $6 (members $4)
