"Saving Wild Florida" explores how conservation photography and advocacy work together to save the best of Florida. Hosted in partnership with Artwalk Gainesville, Cypress & Grove Brewing and the Florida Springs Council, the exhibit features photographer Gary Kuhl, retired from a long career in environmental policy including as a past Executive Director at the Southwest Florida Water Management District. At 6:30 p.m. Gary will discuss his conservation photography and, joined by Environmental Lobbyist Ryan Smart of the Florida Springs Council, the two will discuss the current state of environmental advocacy in Florida and the role that artists and photographers can play in building resistance to those dismantling Florida’s environmental protections.🗓️ Friday, Aug. 29
