Save the Vaquita Day is being held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Come out and join the American Cetacean Society-Oregon Chapter from 10 AM - 4 PM. This event is included with your aquarium admission.We will introduce you to the Vaquita Porpoise, the most endangered marine mammal in the world. Take a selfie with the “panda of the sea” while learning about this beautiful porpoise, its threats, and conservation actions. This beautiful porpoise lives in the upper Gulf of California, only a 4–5-hour drive south of San Diego. There are only 7 species of porpoises in the world, we cannot let them go extinct. You can participate in saving the Vaquita!
