Join the Save Our Children’s Rights campaign to send a clear message to the Government:
Do not take away our children’s legal right to an education that meets their needs 🛑
Proposed changes to the SEND system risk weakening vital legal protections for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
In Bristol, we stand alongside many other parents of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the country, as well as teachers, school staff, and SEND advocacy organisations. We are deeply concerned that the changes proposed in the SEND White Paper are being presented as promoting inclusion and early intervention, while in reality risk removing vital legal protections that ensure children and young people with SEND can access education at all.
We believe that if the government were confident these proposals would genuinely improve the SEND education system, there would be no need to weaken the legal safeguards that families currently rely on to secure appropriate support.
