Join us for a practical outdoors activity working with hedges.
About this Event
This session is part of our regular Saturday volunteering programme. It's suitable for volunteers familiar with Staa and those who are completely new. Come along to help us regularly or just this once, to try something new! *
Working together, we'll manage our wildlife areas and learn technique and theory while doing it.
------------------------------------------------------------
Hedges are the best habitat you can get for food, safety, and shelter. And we're lucky to have loads of hedges in our wildlife areas!
Join us for the second session in the series and get involved in the annual trim, sort, and restoration of our hedges in our Urban Nature plots.
Suitable for all skills and abilities. The session is practical and will focus on improving the habitat of the wildlife areas. You will be given all tools and information you need (though you can bring your own gloves if you like). Please bring your own lunch and refreshments.
Meet at Ransom Road gate entrance by 10am.
Any questions, please email us at [email protected]
------------------------------------------------------------
* We provide inductions for volunteers to attend to learn all about Staa and our volunteering programme. If you like this session and hope to return, we 'll ask you attend an induction within roughly the first 3 sessions.
