For this workshop you will need to know how to chain, slip stitch and treble crochet - if you have previously been to the beginners crochet workshop then you'll be absolutely fine.We will be making a Hexagon cardigan over 3 sessions; Saturday 8th February, Saturday 22nd February and Saturday 8th March (6 hours teaching in total) with some homework in between to get to the next stage.
Session 1: We'll talk about how the cardi is constructed, the initial plans, look at to the yarn you're planning on using, which hook would work best and how you want the finished cardi to look and we'll make a start on your cardi!
Session 2: Measuring sleeve lengths and body lengths, deciding if any alterations need to be made to your initial plans and how to do those alterations.
Session 3: Joining the hexagons and doing a rib, finishing touches.
Depending on the yarn that you use, you'll get a different effect for your finished cardigan - self striping will mean that you don't have to change colour but having each round a different colour is always fun to make and a great finished object... it's up to you.
**Please note that the price does not include materials. You will receive 10% in the store each session (excluding sale items) so you can purchase anything that you need**
Price includes teas, coffees and snacks.
Please note this class is for adults only and requires pre booking via our website. This is a paid for course.
