Unity Wara is a dynamic and multi-talented entertainer who moved back to Kāpiti after 13 years in Taranaki to take up her teaching role at Kāpiti college as Māori performing arts, Kapa haka and vocal kaiako.Known for her powerful, soulful voice and captivating stage presence, she has a strong background in Māori performing arts Her performances often incorporate elements of her Māori heritage, including fire and LED poi, and Māori instruments.
Unity is a versatile performer, skilled as a vocalist, guitarist, and loop artist. She has graced stages around the world, including in Europe, the United States, Japan, and Hong Kong, and has opened for prominent artists like Stan Walker and Hollie Smith. Her performances often incorporate elements of her Māori heritage, including fire and LED poi, and Māori instruments.
