For this instalment of our monthly live reggae series BSMT254 teams up with Toronto’s legendary FULLASOUND BAND to pay tribute the most prolific and important musicians in the history of reggae music - SLY & ROBBIE. The drum and bass duo are responsible for a truly unfathomable number of hits and obscure gems over the last 50 years.
Every reggae lover was heartbroken at the news of Sly Dunbar’s passing on January 26th of this year, having followed Robbie Shakespeare’s unfortunate death 5 years earlier.
Marking what is legitimately the end of an era we have Toronto’s own renowned rhythm section - O’NIEL ‘DRUMMY’ FULLER and CHARLES ‘BASSY’ SINCLAIR alongside the amazing ORVILLE MALCOLM on keys and the sweet sweet voice of JUNIOR MILLER - for a proper salute to the mighty duo of dub.
The live show will start at 9pm sharp, but be sure to show up early as BLACK SABBATH will play an hour of deep Sly & Robbie cuts from his famously massive record collection to set the vibe of what’s sure to be an extra special evening.
