We are taking a field trip to Florida's first REAL Fiber Festival! The Sunkissed Fiber Festival. We are going to rent a van to drive people over for the day. I drive so you can stitch on the way there! There will be a fee to cover the cost of the rental van and to contribute towards gas. The more people who want to come, the lower the cost will be! We will nail down the details as it gets closer, but we are planning to leave Crochet Aweigh around 9am to head over as it is about a 2-2.5 hour drive. We may make another stop along the route if needed to pick up other people. About the Fiber Festival:
~Location: Greater Hillsborough County Fairgrounds (about 25 minutes outside of Tampa)
~37+ vendors
~Open 10am-4pm on Saturday
~Also open on Sunday (we are only driving over for Sat.)
~there is limited seating in an open stitching section, so please bring a folding chair
Bring a snack for yourself! We will stop to have dinner on the way home, most likely at Voodoo Brewery, the recommendation of the festival organizers.
Text the word "FIBER" to 352-636-9445 to secure your spot. RSVP cut off is January 10th as we have to submit a headcount and reserve the van. The fee to ride with us is non-refundable after this date. Thank you for understanding!
Cost Break Down:
Festival Entry Cost: $5
Gas: $5-$10
Van Rental will cost between $150-$300 depending on size/how many people are coming. The van cost will be divided evenly by how many people are riding. Example: $295 van rental / 12 people = $25 per person + $5 entry + $5-10 gas = $35-40 to ride to the festival and not have to drive yourself. It will cost less if the van ends up being less.
