About this Event
Part of our monthly Saturday improv drop-in workshop series at The Old Hairdressers
Here In My C.A.R - Characters And Relationships - with Cameron Black
Improv scenes are most interesting and rewarding, when we bring deep, rich characters to them with unique points of view. We also want to establish our connection and shared history with our scene partner’s character. These two aspects will help kick start our scenes from a grounded reality where both performers, and audiences, feel involved, and from which comedy can build naturally. We will do plenty of low stakes scenes where we get on the same page as our scene partners and follow the fun!
Cammy began improvising in Melbourne in 2019 when, looking for new things to try, signed up to both an improv taster class and a one-day football referee course on the same weekend. Deciding that the latter option would be less fun/more terrifying, he stuck with improv and has studied there with the Improv Conspiracy, The Free Association in London, and the Glasgow Improv Theatre where he has performed with 2 house Harold teams as well as various other things. He still has his referee cards, just in case.
