Earth is approximately 4.6 billion years old, while life with cells appeared at least 3.8 billion years ago. Since then, our ever-changing world has shaped the diversity of life. What are some of the forces driving life’s evolution? Come and explore how natural selection and other factors explain how life changes over time.
Participants will:
- demonstrate how selection and different selective pressures can drive evolution;
- “become the predators” to understand the role of prey selection and survival of the fittest; and
- discuss theories about the development of the “human branch” of the “tree of life.”
