About this Event
Join us to celebrate International Fascination of Plants Day! Learn about current plant research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, observe a variety of plant cells and tissues, and explore the importance of plants to life on Earth!
Participants will:
● hear about current plant research;
● use microscopes to view plants at the microscopic level;
● examine chloroplasts and discuss the steps of photosynthesis;
● extract chlorophyll from plant tissues and explore the action spectrum of photosynthesis.
Ages 10-13, one adult chaperone required. Chaperones must purchase their own ticket and fully participate in all program activities.
