Kendrick “Ken” Jones born August 7, 1988 on an Army base in Georgia, but spent most of his life in Philadelphia, PA. By the very early age of 19, Ken had a son and a daughter. Ken always had the gift to make people laugh and in 2010 Ken started his comedy career. 6 months into Ken’s career he got full custody of his daughter. Ken has had his battles juggling being a single father of the president and valedictorian of pastorious middle school graduating class of 2022 and a standup comedian but manages to be amazing at both!
Ken Jones has found his niche as a standup comedian with candid commentary on relationships, family, and other informal life situations for all to enjoy. Formally trained with a series of comedy workshops, his energetic sets have landed him gigs in the Philadelphia Tri-State area, across the country and travel with Michael Blackson. Dedicated to the growth of his career since it started, he travels and performs wherever he can, for whomever he can. He even started his own monthly comedy show called “Ridiculously Funny ” to ensure that his dreams have a stage.
His dream of becoming a successful comedian started like most comedians. His flame was sparked once he saw Martin Lawrence’s first comedy special “You So Crazy”. He went to school every day imitating Martin’s performance and entertaining his peers. This earned him the yearbook title of class clown. Ken started comedy classes to help him develop his sense of funny that had been brewing his whole life. You can always find him at an open mic or show cultivating his skills.
During the pandemic he started doing poetry. Originally writing a poem for and ex girlfriend who never came back but unlocking a new talent of his. Poetry was something Ken Jones started when he was in high school in a writing class but he never took it serious until recently. Now he has multiple viral million views poetry videos out and is known as one of the best pens in the poetry community today. And infusing his poetry and comedy with in the same set he is now know as a pomedian
Looking to achieve his goals, Ken does something to nurture his comedy and poetry career every day. He’s performed in rooms ranging from 12 people to sold out stadiums in varying cities. Even started a new show 2022 called “ laugh the pain away “ a poetry and comedy show that he uses to help build his fan base and offer comedy and poetry to those who may have never been exposed. Persistently raising awareness using art to help fight depression all around the world.
THINGS TO KNOW:
— Two Item Minimum purchase requirement for all guests in showroom.
— General admission seating may be theater-style rows if the show reaches full capacity.
— VIP ticket holders must arrive before show begins to claim reserved seating.
— All shows are 18 and over. 21+ to drink.
— No dress code.
— Shows run about an hour and 15 minutes.
— Doors open 30-60 minutes prior to show-time. Arriving at least 15 minutes before the show is always a good idea!
— Seating is first come first serve with a strict no-call, no-show policy. Please call us if you are running late! VIP seats will only be reserved until start of show.
