SattasFormed in 2008, Sattas is the pioneering reggae band of Turkey. After the release of their self titled first album in 2012, they have performed in Internationally recognised festivals such as Montreal Jazz Festival, Rototom, Sziget, Abi Reggae Fest, Ruhr Summerjam Reggae Fest and many more. Combining reggae with traditional Turkish sounds and melodies, Sattas continues their music journey with EPs that consist of original songs and covers.
Apart from reggae, Sattas also incorporates rock, soul and funk to their sound. The band consists of six people; Orcun Sunear on vocals, Oyku Gulata on bass, Gonca F. Varol on keyboards, Mehmet Ali Ozay on brass instruments, Cenk Gungor on drums and Batu Kurnaz on guitar.
Neben Reggae greift Sattas auch auf Genres wie Rock, Soul und Funk zurück. Die Band besteht aus sechs Mitgliedern: Orçun Sunear (Gesang), Öykü Gülata (Bass), Gonca F. Varol (Keyboard), Mehmet Ali Özay (Blasinstrumente), Cenk Güngör (Schlagzeug) und Batu Kurnaz (Gitarre).
