The legacy of Malcolm X is still relevant today as we find ourselves still fighting back against the same tools of oppression. We have all witnessed through artists like Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé that Black pride is still seen as “radical.” On May 21st, we’re embracing our pride and sacred rage through music and physical storytelling.

Come be inspired, stand with us and celebrate Black pride and self determination at The Pearl.

There will be Black talent, Black vendors and Black community leaders.

And as is the Satin Sheets tradition, there will be Black Joy in our Soul Train Line during Intermission.
