About this Event
Join us for a free, hands-on Satellites and Society Family Workshop where children and parents/carers explore how satellites help us understand and protect our planet. Families will discover how satellites observe Earth, use infrared cameras to see invisible light, design and build their own model satellites and see your creations in a virtual solar system. This fun, interactive workshop is designed for families with children aged 8–13, combining science, creativity and teamwork to show how careers in space science, engineering and technology can help make a positive difference to our world.
Thursday 2nd April from 10:00 - 13:00 at CAER Heritage
- Parent/guardian(s) will be required to take part in the session with their children for the whole duration - it is not a drop in session.
- The workshop is designed for children 8+. If younger children / siblings are coming along to the session, please bring an activity to occupy them for the session (e.g. colouring in books)
