About this Event
This virtual SAT strategy workshop focuses on understanding, interpreting, and solving systems of equations using graphing, Desmos, substitution, and elimination strategies.
Rather than memorizing procedures alone, students will learn how to recognize what systems represent, interpret solutions visually and algebraically, and determine the most efficient solving approach for different SAT question types.
Students will practice:
- understanding what a solution to a system actually means
- identifying one solution, no solutions, and infinitely many solutions
- recognizing visual relationships between equations using slope and graph behavior
- solving systems using substitution and elimination
- using Desmos strategically for SAT systems questions
- comparing solving approaches and efficiency
- working through SAT-style systems applications and interpretation questions
This workshop emphasizes strategy, interpretation, and method selection first — helping students build confidence with systems questions that often feel confusing or procedural on the SAT.
