As part of the George Lane Matinee Sessions, Jeff Jenkins & his band The Heartstarters will be performing original songs from their new album BOY MEETS GIRL, some as yet unrecorded new originals plus a couple of songs they wish they’d written, from artists like Tom Petty, Elvis Costello, The Band and The Beatles. They played at a huge launch night at The Memo, Healesville, followed by stellar performances on opening night at the Healesville Music Festival, Rochford Concert Lounge and Arcobar.Jeff and Adrian Gardiner (lead guitarist) co wrote the new album which has been hailed ‘a great new Australian album’ by Neil Rogers on RRR, ‘a wonderful record, it tells a great story’ by music writer and critic Jeff Jenkins (the other one) and ‘terrific songs and playing’ by Stuart Coupe on Sydney’s 2SER radio. The album is getting airplay on 3RRR, 2SER, Southern FM, and YVFM.
