Join the South Australian Sled Dog Club on Sunday, May 25, 2025, for an exciting day at the beautiful Mount Crawford Forest as we host our come & try training day!What's Happening:
🐾 Intro to Harness Dog Sports
Kick off the day with an introductory session designed for anyone eager to dive into harness dog sports! We'll cover everything you need to know, including proper gear, trail safety and etiquette, getting started, and tips for ongoing improvement.
📝All participants need to register for this event so we know how many people to expect.
The full event schedule and gate entry code, and details will be emailed to your nominated email address in the days before the event.

🎒What to bring:
- Warm clothes, gloves, beanie
- 2L Water per dog + more for yourself
- Sled dog equipment if you have it (if not let us know what you need)
- Helmet and protective eyewear
- Enclosed Shoes
- Means of securing your dogs (chew proof)
- Dogs must be up to date with a minimum C3 vaccination
🚵♀️ Trails for Experienced and beginners available
Trail Info:
Long trail for experienced mushers only 2.8km. Followed by short trail 1.6km for beginners.
Trails will be marked, bunted, and marshalled to make sure everyone gets around safely.

📍 Event site is located in Mount Crawford, entry off Glen Devon Road.

🚽Toilets will be available on site.
🌭A sausage sizzle and drinks will also be on too! Cash or eftpos available.
🏕️Camping is available from 3pm Saturday.
Competitors planning to camp must book through the Forestry SA website here using the event code **TBA**
Please be aware the rangers may be checking. On the spot fines will be issued if you do not have a permit. Please also let us know you are camping via the entry form.

🔥Fires are permitted in the forest at this event with restrictions, limited fires are available. Please apply via the website. Also see new camp fire rules.
🚮You must take all your rubbish including dog poop with you
🐕🦺Dogs must be on lead at all times.
