Sarcoma Sucks....but together we can do something about it. Help us take the fight to sarcoma, which is a rare but very aggressive form of cancer that impacts 1% of adult cancers and 15 to 20% of childhood cancers.This unique run/walk is in memory of three family members we have lost to forms of sarcoma - Jenny Harman, a beloved mother of two that lost her battle three years ago. Last year, we also lost her uncle, Jeff Grose, to another form of this terrible disease. Jenny’s grandmother, Faye Grose, also passed from a rare form of sarcoma. This fight is very personal for our family!
Sarcoma Sucks will have a standard 5k track of 3.1 miles with chip timing by Start 2 Finish, but Jenny's birthday was March 20 (3.20 if you'll go with me on this) - so we will work a little harder and push a little further, just as she did in her fight. We are asking all participants to complete the standard 5k track and finish with a 0.1 mile Memorial Walk. That makes our total 3.20 miles to honor Jenny's birthday, as well as the start of Spring and the new hope that comes with it!
Sarcoma does indeed Suck. Let's join together to fight it and help create more Sarcoma Survivors!
