Join us on Saturday, December 13 for House of Shine’s first-ever Gingerbread House Competition!
Experience the magic of the holiday season in the Christmas Capital of Texas as teams ages 12+ come together to build, connect, and embody the gracious spirit of Santa. This one-hour competition invites participants to collaborate, get creative, and learn practical skills like teamwork, communication, and perseverance.
Event Details
Competition Times:
- Competition 1: 2:00–3:00 PM
- Competition 2: 4:00–5:00 PM
Group Entry Fee: $20 per team
General Admission: $5 per person (includes audience seating and access to additional activities)
Activities & Extras
In addition to the competition, enjoy festive fun for all ages! Write a Letter to Santa, create a Christmas craft, or cheer on your favorite team from the audience.
Judging & Awards
A panel of judges—including SHINE Santa himself—will evaluate each gingerbread masterpiece using the SHINE Framework (Strengths, Hobbies, Interests & Irritants, Needs, and Experiences). One standout team will take home a special prize!
