Join Us for a Magical Evening: Santa Claus at Whitefish Mountain Resort!
Celebrate the holiday season with a cherished Montana tradition! Bring the whole family to capture unforgettable moments as Santa Claus makes his appearance at Whitefish Mountain Resort. Information to register for the Torchlight and / or Gift Giveaway is below.
Event Highlights:
Torchlight Parade: Gather on the Base Lodge patio at 5:30 PM to watch the spectacular Torchlight Parade as it descends from the top of Chair 2. This enchanting display is sure to create lasting memories for all.
Meet Santa: After the parade, bring a gift for your child, which Santa will personally present to them, adding a touch of Christmas magic to your holiday celebrations.
Location:
The festivities will take place just outside of Ed & Mully's, located at 3905 Big Mountain Road. We encourage spectators to gather at the Base Lodge patio for the best views.
Note:
Please be aware that there will be no fireworks accompanying the Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade.

If you would like to participate in the Torchlight Parade please follow these instructions:
Torchlight Registration Requirements:
- Register here by 4:00 PM on the day of the event.
- Participants must be intermediate or expert skiers or snowboarders and at least 8 years old.
- If under 12, a parent or guardian must register and accompany the child.
- Space is limited, so please register early!
After Torchlight Registration:
- A lift ticket or season pass is required.
- Arrive at the bottom of Chair 2 by 5:00 PM.
- Meet our fantastic Ski and Ride School staff, who will guide the parade, assist with loading the chair, distribute torches, and lead the descent down Ed's Run.
- We recommend wearing low-visibility goggles, a helmet, and outerwear you don’t mind getting dirty.
- Join us for a magical evening of skiing under the stars!
If you would like to participate in the Santa's Gifts Event please follow these instructions-
Santa's Gifts Event Registration
To participate in Santa's Gifts Event, please follow these steps:
- Sign Up: Register your child for Santa's Gifts here. This ensures they make it onto the "Nice List."
- Wrap Your Gift: You may bring one gift per child to be given by Santa and his Whitefish Elves. Please clearly label the package with your child’s name, age, and hometown in large print. If you have multiple children, please use the same wrapping paper for all gifts.
- Drop Off the Gift: Bring your wrapped gift on December 24 between 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM to the 3rd Floor of the Base Lodge, near the bar (1015 Glades Dr.). Gifts cannot be accepted before 2:00 PM.
- Join Us at The Base Lodge: The festivities begin at 5:30 PM with the Torchlight Parade, followed by the Gift Giveaway at 6:00 PM.

BEFORE THE EVENT
REGISTRATION
What do I do after I register?
Please double check your entry, make sure it is right. You will be emailed a confirmation/receipt.
What are my responsibilities as a participant?
Events are a group effort. It requires timeliness and accountability of not only the event staff, but of each competitor. There are many details each person is responsible for in order for us all to have a fun day on the snow. Making sure your information is accurate, you are on time and prepared for each event is required.
DAY OF EVENT
TRANSPORTATION, PARKING AND SHUTTLES
What are my transport options getting to the event and around the village? The SNOW Bus will also operate between Whitefish and Whitefish Mountain Resort. A shuttle will operate in the upper village areas, and all parking lots will be open through the event. Please obey all parking signage and park as per normal.
Where do I Check-In?
Mandatory check-in for the torchlight is at Chair 2, see the schedule above. Santa's Gift participants only need to be in Ed and Mully's after the torchlight (presents must be dropped off prior) in the Upper Village to confirm your spot.
Are helmets required?
Helmets are required to participate in any event.
TICKET INFORMATION
Are there Discounted Lift Tickets for Event Competitors? Sorry, not for this event.
Can I transfer my entry to my friend if I can’t make it to the event? No. See refund information above. New registrations must be completed by the competitor / guardian. You can request a refund, and your friend should register independently.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? It is not required to print your ticket, but it can be helpful. If you intend on purchasing a discounted lift ticket, it is required.
REFUND INFORMATION
Things happen. We understand that sometimes people are unable to compete. Entry fees are 100% refundable when contacted 48 hours before the event. Within 48 hours, at 50% refund will be issued if your space is able to be filled from the waitlist.
To request a refund, please email [email protected] with the following information – --Your Name, -which event you are requesting a refund and –Reason for the request (sick, out of town, injured, mistake, etc) Refund requests sent to other points of contact will not be honored.
