Thank you for registering for No Kings! Ocean Avenue at Montana Avenue in Santa Monica on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 11am-1pm.We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.
What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever.
When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.
On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
FROM THE ORGANIZERS:
We are working with the SMPD to keep this event peaceful. We strongly encourage a peaceful demonstration and urge participants to immediately report any unlawful or disruptive behavior to the SMPD. The safety and well-being of everyone involved (organizers, attendees, law enforcement personnel, and the broader public) must remain the top priority. Please thank them, they are our allies.
IMPORTANT: Stay away from bluff fences, do not sit atop them or lean on them. Please do not climb the trees. Especially keep children out of the trees for their safety.
No marching along city streets. This is a protest event in the park, not a march.
Don’t forget your sunscreen, water, and a hat! Please, no food — and please leave your beloved dogs at home. Please, no backpacks nor large tote bags.
*There are no speakers making speeches this time. However, we will have a DJ at each block, and expect dancing. The picnic area north of the Rose Garden will have information booths: Indivisible, ACLU, Register to Vote, Hand to Hand, and more to be announced.
Please take a moment and focus on why YOU are showing up. Think of the history you are creating. Be brave. Do not sink into fear. The world is watching.

Notes from the organizer: SAFETY: We will have Peace Marshals on site - look for a yellow vest if you have any questions or concerns. Officers will be dressed in regular SMPD uniforms and their focus is to give attendees space. Participants shall abide by Santa Monica Municipal Code Section 4.08.780. No one shall possess in the event area hammers, mallets, buckets, leaf blowers, traffic cones, or frozen water bottles at the event. GUIDELINES: As Ocean Avenue is a busy street, be aware of cars. A driver might be distracted by the crowd and signs. Drive safely, cross safely. RESTROOM: There is a public restroom at the top of the Idaho bridge, in the park. PARKING: Parking available at the beach parking lots and walk over the Montana Avenue or Idaho Avenue bridge. Promenade parking lots near Wilshire Blvd. are about .04 mile walk to the meeting spot. If you park on a residential street, read signs carefully, and please keep voices down. metro.net provides public transportation options. Please carpool or use ride share. While there are a few dedicated Disabled Parking spots, there is no guarantee they will be available. Together, we can stop this slide toward authoritarianism with peaceful protest. No Kings in America. No Kings since 1776. United we stand. Protest is patriotic.
