Hey everyone,We’re excited to officially announce the Sandia Mountain Classic 2026, coming to Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 8–10, 2026. Get ready for a full weekend of competitive volleyball, showcase matches, and great tournament vibes.
📅 Division Schedule
Friday – May 8
Co-Ed: Open / A / B
Men’s Masters: 37+
Women’s Masters: 35+
Saturday & Sunday – May 9–10
Same Gender: Open / A / B
🏐 Tournament Format
All divisions EXCEPT Same Gender A & B
→ Double Elimination with Crossover
Same Gender A & B
→ Pool Play followed by Single Elimination
🔥 Premier Match Showcase
Matches 5, 6, 7, and 8 will be designated Premier Matches.
The last four undefeated teams in the Open division will earn the opportunity to play in front of everyone, competing for spots in the crossover rounds.
🥇 Seeding
The winner from last year’s tournament will receive the #1 seed.
Tru Volleyball rankings will play a major role in seeding decisions.
Tournament directors may adjust seeds when necessary to avoid teams playing opponents from their home region early in the bracket.
Final seeding decisions are made to promote fair competition and the best overall tournament experience.
⚠️ Division Eligibility Reminder
Please remember: any player who has won an A division within the last three years is required to compete in the Open division. This policy helps keep competition fair and divisions balanced.
🏐 Official Game Ball
The Makasa volleyball will be the official game ball for all divisions at the Sandia Mountain Classic.
