Get in on the fun, the 1st ever VolleyPalooza! Sand volleyball with a pinch of non-traditional formats that will keep everyone in the game! This is 6v6 format, teams must have at least 2 females. We'll have 4 different formats of play, every team will play each format once for pool play. Hang on tight, here is what you can expect...
1. Traditional Coed Sand 6v6 Volleyball
2. Blanket Volleyball: play this round with a blanket (or tarp) over the net so you are always guessing where the ball is coming from or where the defense is positioned
3. Drink in hand (doesn't need to be alcoholic): not everyone needs a drink in hand, but 3 players on each team need a drink in one hand at all times. Switch up who holds the drink, switch up what kind of drink you're holding!
4. Platform only volleyball. You can only use your platform to pass, set and attack. sounds like it might take a while to score huh? Well only 5 players are on the court at a time, the last player to touch the ball with their platform needs to get off the court so your player on the sideline can jump in the action. Strategy might be key where you hit that perfectly placed ball at players trying to swap spots on the court!
We'll do pool play, follow it up with a short single elim tournament. the higher seed in the tournament gets to choose what format they play in the tournament! This will be a bit shorter than our traditional events and hope to be wrapped up by 3:30.
This is for all levels of players and highly encourage the teams looking for a fun, unique volleyball tournament!
We'll have $1 mimosas the first part of the day, then we'll have $3 pounders rest of the day along with food available for purchase.
