Join us for Sanctuary’s Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) finale event held inside The Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville, KY on Thursday, April 30 at 6:00 p.m. CST.
Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and the event will begin at 6:00 p.m. To conclude a month-long SAAPM campaign, Elizabeth Smart will present “My Story: The Journey from Abduction to Empowerment.” Her story will be followed with a Q & A and a book signing opportunity.

Limited free tickets are availble to the public, REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED; SPACE IS LIMITED. Registration opens on March 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM CST. * LIMIT UP TO TWO TICKETS FREE TICKETS PER REGISTRATION and ONLY ONE REGISTRATION WILL BE PERMITTED. A limited number of paid tickets will also be available and costs will help offset the cost of event venue. No portion of ticket sales will benefit Sanctuary, Inc. Paid tickets will permit guest seating together with their specified groups.

Elizabeth was abducted from her home at age 14 and held captive for nine months before being safely recovered. Today, she is an internationally recognized child-safety advocate and the founder of the Elizabeth Smart Foundation. Her story is one of survival, resilience, and the power of hope and her voice has helped shape national conversations around prevention, protection, and survivor empowerment.
