San Rafael: Home Is Where The Art Is

The San Rafael Leadership Institute Class of 2026, a program of the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce, invites you to join us for a unique community event centered on art, connection, and impact.

The event brings together art, storytelling, and community leadership to elevate lived experience and advance housing stability in Marin County. Whether you're an art pro or just love soaking up good vibes, this is your chance to connect with local artists and enjoy some seriously inspiring pieces. Don't miss out on the fun – come see where the art lives and breathe in all those creative feels! Your sponsorship will help support this event and the local artists.

An Art Exhibition

Original works created by those with lived experience of homelessness and housing insecurity. The exhibition highlights talent, lived experience, and the transformative power of creative expression. Artwork will be available for viewing, with select offered for purchase. Proceeds will directly benefit participating artists.

A Short Film Showcase

A curated screening of short films exploring housing insecurities through personal narratives, systemic challenges, and innovative responses. Each film invites thoughtful reflection and dialogue about pathways toward housing stability.

Agenda

Doors open at 5:00PM. Guests are invited to explore and purchase artwork from local artists while enjoying short films playing throughout the event. A Q&A session will begin at 6:30PM.

Together, these experiences create space for empathy, understanding, and inspire meaningful action.

100% of your donation will directly support participating artists through stipends and help cover essential event costs to bring this experience to the community.
