Join us for an electrifying evening of spoken word poetry at Queen Bee's Art and Cultural Center in San Diego, CA, USA. Get ready to be blown away by the raw talent and powerful words of local poets.The "Gladiator Slam" is a series of poetry competitions. The top 2 competitors from each monthly slam will qualify for the "Gladiator Slam Finals", which will be a head to head poetry competition on July 13th. The winner will receive $500
Structure:Qualifiers (February 9th - May 11th)
8 poets will compete in a 3 round slam. The 1st round is random order. The top 4 will move on to the 2nd round. The 2nd and 3rd round will be head to head. The top 2 competitors will qualify for the Gladiator Slam Finals
How do I sign up for the slam?
2 slots are reserved for current slam team members, the next 4 slots are 1st come 1st serve and there will be a lottery for the last 2 slots.
What time does signup start?
Signups begin at 7:15pm and the list closes at 7:30pm
How do I sign up?
Come to the venue, line up on the right side (if you are facing the building) of the door and the list will be brought out
