About this Event
San Diego Doggy Dash
Come join us for a paws-itively fun time at this Charity Event supporting We Saved A Puppy Animal Rescue at Mission Hills Park/Pioneer Park. Bring your furry friends for a tail-wagging, tongues flapping, 100 foot sprint. We'll be taking professional slow motion video of you sprinting alongside your dog and we'll also have a professional photographer taking portrait-style family photos in another section of the park. All for you to have. It's the perfect way to spend a fun day in the park with your family and pet while supporting a great cause.
Hi, I'm Jonathan Cohen-Kurzrock and for my 32nd birthday I wanted to do something more this year. I wanted to throw an event in my local community, get to meet my neighbors and their furry family members, while also giving back to a greater cause. That's why I teamed up with We Saved A Puppy Animal Rescue to bring you the happiest race you'll ever run. Our goal is to raise $50,000.00! I hope you have tons of fun and see it in your heart to donate to an amazing charity.
We Saved a Puppy Animal Rescue is a non-profit started by Brian Bovenzi with a mission to provide medical attention, shelter, feed, and find loving homes to abandoned and stray animals. When he's not rescuing dogs, he takes injured animals from families in the US across the border for care that can be 90% more affordable.
Brian's inspiration came to him after a motorcyle accident where he broke his neck along with many other injuries and while recovering he had a vivid dream that he was rescuing animals. Once healed, he devoted his life to that mission and has been saving strays and providing affordable care ever since.
