🌿 First Annual Samuel Bird Memorial Walk 🌿On June 1st, 2026, we invite you to join us in Edmonton as we come together in love, remembrance, and community to honour Samuel Bird.
We will gather at Churchill Square at 12:00 PM, where the memorial walk will begin. From 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, we will walk together in unity to Dawson Park, carrying Samuel’s spirit with us every step of the way.
At Dawson Park, we will continue the day with a potluck-style gathering and ceremony:
🧡 Feast: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
🧡 Open Sharing/Performances: Following the feast, anyone who wishes to perform, sing, or share in honour of Samuel or in remembrance of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People and their loved ones is welcome.
🧡 Drummers & Singers: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
This will be a time to share stories, uplift one another, and celebrate Samuel’s life in a good way.
We welcome everyone to bring food, drinks, or items for smudging if you are able. We are also in need of paper plates, cutlery, and napkins—any support is appreciated.
All are invited—family, friends, and community—to stand together in remembrance and support.

Please remember to take any personal items, such as lawn chairs, home with you at the end of the gathering. as we are not responsible for personal items
