Folkestone’s own Samuel Ashton returns home for a very special night.Praised on BBC Introducing by presenter Leo Ulph as “deliciously soulful”, Samuel has been building a powerful reputation for his rich soul voice and classic RnB sound. With over 500,000 Spotify streams and radio play across the BBC, Europe, the United States and Australia, his music is travelling far, yet his roots remain firmly here in Kent.
Drawing on soulful blues and subtle country tones, Samuel’s songwriting carries a message of hope and resilience, shaped by his travels and diverse musical influences. He has performed at major festivals including Black Deer Festival and The Great Escape, sold out headline shows at respected London venues such as Troubadour and The Green Note, and stepped onto the iconic stage of Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club alongside soul legend Madeline Bell.
Now, he brings it back to Folkestone for Up Close & Intimate.
This is a rare chance to experience Samuel Ashton stripped back and personal. Just the voice. The songs. The stories behind them. An evening of soul, honesty and connection in an intimate setting.
