Sammy Volkov’s 2022 debut album "Be Alright!" firmly established him as an artist on the rise, hitting the #1 spot on the prestigious CKUA Top 30, and other outlets comparing his approach and style to legends such as Roy Orbison and Charlie Rich. His duets album released with Dana Wylie "The Day Had To Come" topped Bandcamp’s ‘Best Country Music of 2024’ list. His upcoming solo album "Songs From the Goodbye Garden" features string arrangements from two-time Grammy-nominee Drew Jurecka and offers an eclectic range of styles, celebrating Sammy’s love for 1960s pop, contemporary indie rock and dreamy chamber folk. He has been featured at festivals like the Calgary and Edmonton Folk Music Festivals and has shared stages with the likes of Frazey Ford, Boy Golden and Mariel Buckley. The queer American-Canadian singer-songwriter has “...vocals that emanate…an air of melancholy.
