John Wilson was born in Three Springs to Mac and Dot Wilson. He worked as a painter, anthropologist, social research and art consultant, and farmed wheat and sheep at Nereno Hill, between Three Springs and Morawa.A special exhibition of John's artworks, Same but Different, will be showing across two venues, The Bank Gallery in Carnamah and The Exchange+Gallery in Mingenew, during September.
Subject locations of the works include the North Midlands, Pilbara and Kimberley, Fremantle, Rottnest Island, Sydney, and the Flinders Ranges. The exhibition has been curated by John's daughter, Bu Wilson, and includes works held by the Wilson family.
An open invitation is extended to attend the launch, with refreshments, at The Bank Gallery in Carnamah at 1pm on Sunday 7th September. No RSVP is required, and all are welcome.
