Bloco B are excited to invite special guest dance teacher, Nicolas Macena to Bristol for our first 'Malandro' style samba dance workshop!Born in Rio de Janeiro and now based in London, UK, Nicolas is taking the samba scene by storm with his powerful and energetic style and inspiring creations! He started his dance career when he was 10 years old with Funk and Samba dance. He trained with Unidos de Padre Miguel Samba School in Rio. By the time he was 12 years old he was already acting as a choreographer.
Nicolas has continued to develop as a professional dancer and now works with Samba and Funk, as well as Commercial and Hip-Hop dance.
Join us for this epic 'Malandro' style Samba Dance Workshop in Bristol!
SATURDAY 20th APRIL
1pm - 4:15pm
This 3 hour workshop is split into two halves to allow beginners to join the first half and get a feel for samba. For experienced dancers the first half will include warm-up and theory to build a strong foundation and understanding ready to take their samba to another level in the second half!
Whatever your level, we have something for everyone, from training technique and musicality, building stamina, confidence and style.

1pm - 2:30pm : Samba Foundations
(Open to all levels - Beginners welcome)
2:30pm : Break
2:45pm - 4:15pm : Level-up
(Experienced dancers taking it up a gear)
Note:
The first half of this workshop will include warm-up and training essential for experienced dancers to continue into the second half to Level-Up.

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING
It's recommended to wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move and stretch in. Have layers available when your body begins to cool down.
It's a good idea to bring a small sweat towel and a bottle of water.
Please do not come to the sessions if you are unwell.
