Samba Reggae Percussion Course, Afro Brazilian Rhythms from Bahia

🌎 Experience the powerful rhythms of Bahia, Brazil in this 6 week Samba Reggae percussion course in Toronto.

🥁 Samba reggae is a vibrant style of Brazilian music that blends Afro Brazilian rhythms, carnival energy, and powerful group percussion. In this course, participants will learn the fundamentals of samba reggae while playing together in a dynamic percussion ensemble.

🎶 Throughout the program, we will explore core rhythms, technique, and coordination used in samba reggae bands from Bahia. Week by week we will build the group sound and develop the experience of playing Brazilian percussion as a collective.

🎤 Participants who progress through the course may also have the opportunity to play and perform at Toronto Samba Reggae Festival, depending on their development during the program.

✨ No previous percussion experience is required. Beginners are welcome.
