Samba labs is a series of 4 monthly samba de gafieira workshops in Los Angeles, CA from March-June, 2026 and facilitated by world-renowned dancer, choreographer and instructor Walter Fernandes.
Each workshop will focus on a specific theme and can be taken as a stand-alone class or as part of the series.
Who is it for?
Samba Labs is for dancers with a passion for samba de gafieira! It is recommended to have at least 6 months or 30 hours previous training. These workshops will help experienced gafieiristas bring new awareness to their dance and refine technique, while newer dancers will deepen their understanding of the fundamentals.
Each workshop will focus on a specific area, for example: entries and exits (entradas e saídas), the adaptive embrace (o abraço adaptivo).
