Join tabla virtuoso Ojas Adhiya and an exceptional ensemble for an immersive evening of Indian classical fusion, where youthful artistry, rich tradition, and contemporary sounds come alive in a passionate, collaborative performance.
Driven by a shared intent to express musical solidarity with the rich legacy of Indian classical music, Samarpan 2.0 brings together youthful artists who approach fusion as an offering rather than a departure. Active since 2007, the ensemble has evolved into a recognised Indian classical fusion band, blending Hindustani classical music with contemporary sounds while remaining anchored in classical discipline.
For the very first time, these raga-based creations are brought to life in collaboration with a dynamic brass and choir ensemble - creating a grand, immersive sonic experience. The purity of Indian melody meets the richness of orchestral texture, resulting in a powerful celebration of devotion, harmony, and innovation.
Led by prodigy tabla player Ojas Adhiya, whose rhythmic command and adaptability form the ensemble’s foundation, the group draws strength from distinct yet complementary musical voices. Flautist Ninad Mulaokar brings lyrical flow shaped by rigorous classical training and decades of accompaniment with leading vocalists. Violinist Manas Kumar adds melodic clarity and emotional nuance informed by early immersion in music and extensive concert experience. On keyboards, Vishal Dhumal contributes harmonic depth and compositional range drawn from a long career across albums and live performances. Saxophonist I. D. Rao bridges classical traditions and contemporary expression through a sound shaped by Carnatic training and wide-ranging collaborations. Completing the ensemble, Gautam Sharma brings layered rhythmic textures informed by his training under Ustad Taufiq Qureshi, Rahul Deo (Bass Guitar) also featuring a dynamic horn section with Zameeruddin S. Shaikh on trombone and Robin Fargose on trumpet, along with powerful choral contributions from Glynis Luan Simoes and Trisha June Rego and extensive global performances.
Together, the ensemble presents a live experience shaped as Samarpan 2.0, a musical surrender, where fusion, folk, and classical melodies converge with passion, intent, and a deep respect for tradition.
