SAM Business Quest - A High School Competition

Business Quest is a full day of real-world problem solving, teamwork, and career exploration designed to help students step confidently into the world of business and management. Participants will tackle a live case study, present their solutions to industry judges, demonstrate public speaking skills, and compete for cash awards and scholarships. Whether students are drawn to marketing, finance, operations, or leadership, Business Quest gives them a chance to shine while building connections with professionals across the management field.
Throughout the day, students gain experience that mirrors the challenges of the modern workplace. Teams work under time constraints to analyze business problems and craft actionable recommendations that reflect strategic thinking and creativity. They strengthen collaboration and communication skills through presentations, competitions, and fast-paced team challenges. Successful participants and schools earn national recognition, scholarships, and certificates, with outstanding achievements highlighted in SAM’s official communications.
Business Quest also brings students and educators face-to-face with industry professionals who serve as judges, mentors, and workshop leaders. These conversations help students understand employer expectations and career pathways while offering valuable insight into the skills needed to succeed.
The program includes multiple signature events, such as the Case Competition, Speech Competition, and Knowledge Bowl, along with hands-on experiences in interviewing, communication, collaboration, and strategy. Every activity is designed to prepare students for future leadership roles while giving them a memorable and meaningful competitive experience.
Business Quest will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 9 AM to 4 PM at the New England Institute of Technology. Teams of up to four students can register, and participants may compete in any or all competitions, with full access to the skill-building experiences offered throughout the day. After registering, advisors and parents will receive updates and preparation resources to help their students get ready for this exciting event.
