Salvaged: A FULL DAY Mixed Media Workshop: 9am-4p.m.Give forgotten materials a second life in this hands‑on, creatively chaotic mixed-media class! We’ll work with a stash of reclaimed, repurposed, and delightfully imperfect treasures—think weathered papers, rescued textiles, found objects, and all the scrappy bits. This is a space for playful experimentation, intuitive layering, and the joy of giving discarded objects a second life.
We’ll explore techniques for building textured backgrounds, creating collage layers from rescued book pages and packaging, adding painterly marks, and incorporating fabric bits, tags, labels, and found elements. You’ll learn how to blend mixed-media methods—paint, gesso, crayons, inks, and more—to create pieces that feel organic, tactile, and deeply personal.
No perfection required—just curiosity, play, and a willingness to let the materials guide you.
