It is typically danced to salsa music and features quick footwork, turns, and fluid movements. Linear style salsa, also known as “LA style” is characterized by dancers moving in a straight line or “slot,” rather than in circular patterns. In Linear style, dancers typically break on the first beat of the music (on1).
