Each and every Monday we welcome brand new students and absolute beginners to Salsa Beginner Lessons in Downtown Houston at the historic and beautiful Henke and Pillot. Let’s learn the basics of Salsa, Bachata, and more!

👫 No partner needed! Singles and couples welcome! 18+ and up welcome.
⭐️ Ideal for Absolute Beginners. Zero experience required!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Make new friends, network with people from all walks of life, have a blast!
Get hands-on experience with basic steps, right and left turns, leading and following techniques, basic figures, and simple social patterns.
🎵 Recognize the Music: Learn how to groove with the rhythm.
🕺💃 Dance Etiquette: Discover the dos and don'ts on the dance floor.
SALSA BEGINNER MONDAY SCHEDULE
✓ 7p. Check-in, drink, dine, and get a wristband.
✓ 7:15-8:15p. Salsa Beginner 1. Learn the basics of Salsa, basic spot turns, cross body lead, leading and following foundations. We do a little of Bachata and Merengue as well to warm up.
Small 10 mins break in between levels.
✓ 8:30-9:30p Salsa Beginner 2*. Continue learning Salsa beginner salsa turns and start creating figures and combinations. Some Dance experience required.
✓ 9:30-11p Salsa Bachata Social & Practice. Practice is key! So stay for the party after the classes to keep on dancing! Let's grow the dance community together.
*Note: Beginner 2 is NOT an advance class. It is for returning students that have taken a few Beginner 1 classes before and are still working on their basic steps, turns, and cross body lead. If you never ever danced, start with Beginner 1 and as you get more confident, try Beginner 2. Do not skip levels. Ask instructor for recommendations.
CLASS LEVEL
✓ Beginner 1: Intro level, Level 0, Baby steps to latin dancing. No experience required.
✓ Beginner 2: Basic understanding of the foundations of Salsa. Little experience required.
NO PARTNER? NO PROBLEM
✓ Singles rotate with everyone.
✓ Couples can stay together or join the rotation.
HOW TO JOIN / TICKET PRICE
SALSA BEGINNER 1
Singles: $20/person drop-in per class.
Couples: $30/couple drop-in per class.
SALSA BEGINNER 2
Singles: $20/person drop-in
Couples: $30/couple drop-in (Save $10)
WANT TO DO BOTH BEGINNER I AND BEGINNER II LESSONS?
Just add $5/p. Talk with instructor during the break or sign up online.

✓ Cheap Garage parking - $8 at 805 Franklin St. (one block away) All other garages are $15 to $20. Avoid them.

✓ Take your valuables with you or hide / place them out of plain view.

✓ Casual / gym / dressy attire welcome.

✓ Avoid sandals and rubber sole shoes.
